Iomega's new Ego portable hard drive should help keep your data safe while you're on the move.

Its Drop Guard technology will protect it from a fall up to 1.3m, which is 40 percent more than the industry average. It connects via USB and there's a Y cable included so you can power it from two ports if one can't provide enough juice.

It's available in 320GB and 500GB capacities and comes packed with software such as antivirus and backup utilities to help keep your files secure.
