The new Sony Reader Pocket Edition is a slimmed-down eBook reader that's ideal for commuters.
It features a 5in electronic ink display that has a paper-like appearance. Unlike regular screens it has no flicker and can be read even in direct sunlight. It features eight levels of grey for fine text detail.
There's 512MB of memory built in - enough for storing about 350 eBooks - and the battery will last 6,800 page turns, which should keep you going for around two weeks.
The Reader Pocket Edition is available to pre-order now for £179.99 from Sony.

I've been talking myself out of becoming and early adopter of an eBook for some time but some of the latest models are really tempting me. I'll be interested in seeing this one in the flesh once it hits the shops..
