Some devices are perfectly suited to plugging into a USB port. Flash drives, speakers, printers, scanners and webcams to name just five of the more obvious examples. But some items simply arenât needed in a USB version and this rechargeable shaver from Brando is one of them.
A USB port is not a replacement for a standard electrical socket. If youâre going to shave at your desk you could just as easily use an everyday rechargeable razor that plugs into the wall.
If you commute to work by train you could plug the USB Shaver into your laptop and shave on the way in, but by the same token you could just take a cordless razor with you and do that anyway.
Still at least this latest "innovation" will only set you back $22 (£11). Weâll let you know when the first USB hair straighteners become available.
