Every so often we stumble across exciting gadgets which we know instantly are going to revolutionise our lives. The ThrustPac isn’t one of them.
It’s a giant fan which you strap to your back when on a bicycle, skateboard, skis or similar mode of transport, and it pushes you forwards. The manufactures claim you’ll get a top speed of 25 to 35MPH when using it on a bike.
The device runs on a few ounces of petrol, is worn like a backpack and controlled using a special glove. You bend your finger to speed up and straighten it to slow down.
It looks and sounds like a spoof, but apparently it’s real. If you want to buy one they are individually priced depending on what you require but expect to pay around $895 to $1999 for a standard model.
