Elio Linea - the "time remaining" watch

Most of us rarely have enough time to do the things we want, yet occasionally time passes too slowly. We’re keenly waiting for something (like the weekend to arrive, a much anticipated party or the (re)start of Lost) and it seems to take an age to happen.

Elio Linea is a watch with a difference. It doesn’t have a dial and it doesn’t tell the time. Instead it counts down to whatever event you’re looking forward to, displaying the passing of days, hours, minutes and seconds as if time was simply a slowly downloading file.

Created by Pierre Haulot it’s only a concept at the moment but the idea is a good one. We’re sure someone, somewhere will produce it eventually. If we already had an Elio Linea watch, we could start it counting down until the first Elio Linea arrives in the shops… But we don’t. Obviously.
