Microsoft Virtual Earth, then it seems a bit pedestrian to navigate around using a keyboard and mouse.
With 3Dconnexion's SpaceNavigator, however, you can fly around virtual spaces thanks to its intuitive 3D navigation controls. Rather than having to repeatedly stop to switch controls or toggle keyboard shortcuts, as you would with a keyboard and mouse, the SpaceNavigator allows you to explore more naturally. With six degrees of freedom you can pan, zoom and rotate without taking you hand off the control, making moving around 3D worlds simple.
The device provides the same controls as those used by 3D artists and computer-aided design professionals. It's natively supported by Virtual Earth and over 100 other popular 3D applications.
The SpaceNavigator is available now from 3Dconnexion for £39.
