It's possible to take a wrong turn even with the help of a satnav unit if you're faced with a particularly tricky junction or road layout. The new Navigation X-960 from ViaMichelin, however, shows you both the route you're meant to be following and a close up of he junction you're approaching at the same time.
It's available with preloaded maps for just the UK and Ireland or covering the whole of Europe and can prepare route directions not just for cars but bicycles and pedestrians too.
The 3.5in screen is touch sensitive, so you don't need to mess about with obscure button presses to find your way round the interface. There's a cigarette lighter power adapter so you can charge it while you're driving along and the internal battery will last for two hours.
The Navigation X-960 is available now and costs £159 for maps covering the UK & Ireland and £199 for Europe. Further information is available from the ViaMichelin website.
