Most mice are pretty much the same - some may have lasers instead of balls or dispensed with cables to communicate with your PC, but they all work in a fairly similar fashion. Logitech has a completely new take on rodent design with the MX Air.
Rather than roll it around a desk, with the MX Air you can move your cursor by waving the device about in the air. It also supports gestures, providing shortcuts to commonly used actions. Want to quickly navigate through your music collection? Move it in a circular motion to the right to skip a track or to the left to repeat the song.
If all that arm waggling makes you feel a bit silly (or exhausted), you can still use it as a standard desktop mouse as well.
The MX Air will be available in August for £99.99, see Logitech's website for further details.
