For the fastest way to get from A to B, TomTom is promising that if there's a quicker route available its new Go 940 satnav will be able to find it.

It includes an improved version of TomTom's IQ Routes system, which uses road information from real drivers rather than just speed limits to calculate the best way to go. It now features data broken down by day of the week in five minute intervals, so you can be sure it will always pick the best route even if it's rush hour.

It can also tap into TomTom's exclusive High Definition traffic service, so if the current traffic conditions differ from the expected travel time it will automatically calculate a new route so you'll get to your destination more quickly.

The Go 940 will be available later in the year, pricing has yet to be decided. See TomTom for more information.
