While there's still probably a fair bit of life left in the humble paperback book, there's certainly been a lot of activity recently around its digital replacement. Sony's Reader will soon be coming to these shores and nipping in just ahead of it is Endless Ideas' BeBook.
It may lack the support of a big name brand, but it's still worth a look if you're interested in making the jump to electronic ink. It features a 6in display, providing plenty of reading space, and measures just 184x120x10mm and weighs 220g.
It comes with 512MB of memory - enough for around 1,000 eBooks - and if that's not enough there's an SD card slot for expansion. Out of the box you'll find 150 titles pre-loaded and as it supports the Mobipocket format you can dip into a digital library of 80,000 best sellers or pick and choose from 20,000 free titles from the BeBook website.
The BeBook is available now for £229.99, see Endless Ideas for more information.
