TomTom XL Live satnav

TomTom XL Live satnav

TomTom's Live service, which was previously only available on the more expensive Go range, is filtering down to the cheaper 4.3in XL model.

Users will be able to tap into TomTom's up to the minute traffic announcements, safety alerts and even fuel prices. The service is free for three months, then costs £7.99 a month.

The XL Live also features IQ Routes, which calculates directions based on the time of day and real traffic data collected anonymously from TomTom users.

The XL Live will be available in June for £249.99, see TomTom for more information.
