Apple's entry level laptop has been given a major overhaul - plastic is out and sleek aluminium is in, so it now matches its bigger sibling, the MacBook Pro.
The MacBook has been given more than just a cosmetic facelift, however, and the updated model now features significantly greater graphics fire power. Intel's puny integrated graphics chip has been replaced by an Nvidia 9400M powerhouse instead. It's not all good news, though, as for some reason Apple has removed the Firewire port seen on previous models, leaving only two USB ports for expansion.
It's available in two flavours: an entry level 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo chip and 160G hard drive or more expensive 2.4GHz processor and 250GB disk. Both models come with 2GB of memory and you can tweak the spec if either of those configurations doesn't suit.
The new MacBook is available now starting at £949 from Apple.
- Congratulations for finding this Easter Egg!
