Asus Eee PC S101 small light laptop

Asus may have started the Eee PC off at the super cheap end of the market, but it's now trying to go for a slightly more aspirational image with its latest offering: the S101.

By laptops terms, it's still pretty cheap at £449, but that's still almost twice the price of the cheapest Eee PC available. If you're wondering where the extra money goes, it's mostly on its looks - unlike previous models this is one swanky looking machine.

You also get a chunky 32GB of solid state storage to play with, and it's powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and 1GB of RAM. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are there to take care of your wireless communication needs and it makes an ideal travel companion weighing in at just over 1Kg.
