While Asus' new laptop won't exactly help you in cutting your carbon footprint compared to, say, not using a computer at all, at least its bamboo casing will help you feel like you're doing something to help the environment.
It does promise to at least reduce the amount of energy it gobbles up thanks to its Super Hybrid Engine technology, which according to its doting parents increases the battery life between 35 and 70 percent compared to leading laptops.
Under the wood it's powered by a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4GB of RAM. The screen stretches 12 inches and it packs a 320GB hard drive and DVD writer.
