With Rock's new Xtreme 780, you can get a quad core laptop that won't break the bank. It features Intel's four core Q9000 chip, making it considerably cheaper than previous models.
It comes with 2GB of memory, plus a 1GB Nvidia 9800M graphics chip so it should be a powerful enough for a bit of mobile gaming.
Add on a 17in 1,920x1,200 resolution screen, with enough pixels to show HD material without downscaling, and you've got a great entertainment machine.
