The Vaio X Series is the world's lightest laptop, according to Sony, weighing in at just 655g.
It's pretty slim too, measuring just 13.9mm thick. Despite its svelte dimensions, Sony has managed to squeeze in an 11.1in screen which stretches to a resolution of 1,366x768 pixels.
It's powered by an Intel Atom processor and 2GB of memory. There's still space for two USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet and VGA out and it comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional.

To coincide with the launch of Microsoft's latest OS, Archos has announced a new tablet that can take full advantage of Windows 7's touchscreen features.
The Archos 9 sports a 9in screen, measures 256 x 134 x 17mm and weighs 800g. It's powered by a 1.1GHz Intel Atom Z510 chip and 1GB of memory. There's 60GB of storage built in and it packs both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless communication.
It runs Windows 7 Starter Edition and as well as the touchscreen, there's a built-in trackpoint and mouse buttons for navigation.

Q-waves has taken the hassle out of sharing your computer screen with its new Wireless USB AV Kit.
As the name implies, it uses the new Wireless USB standard to extend your desktop without involving any extra wires. Just stick the master device into your PC and then hook the slave up to an external screen.
Data is transmitted via UWB (Ultra-wideband) and the slave device features both HDMI and VGA connections so you can use it with all screens.

The Freedom netbook features a 10.2in LCD screen and is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and 1GB of memory. The hard drive stretches to 120GB and it comes with Wi-Fi built in.
It measures 265x182x26mm and weighs in at 1.1Kg. It's available in either red or black and it runs Windows XP.

Sony has gone all touchy feely with its latest Vaio L Series PC.
The all-in-one design means the innards are out of view, hidden behind the 24in touch-sensitive display. You can prod, poke and flick your way through your documents, music and movies thanks to the included touch support in Windows 7.
There's Blu-ray built in for your high-def needs and there's even an HDMI input so you can hook up other devices to view on the big screen.
