Panasonic's latest HD camcorder features not one, but three MOS sensors so it can produce great colours even in low light conditions. MOS sensors can detect almost twice as much light as traditional CCD sensors, so the HDC-SD100 can shoot video in light levels as low as 2 lux.
It can shoot footage in full HD 1,920x1,080 resolution, which is stored in AVCHD format on SD card - providing enough space for around 12 hours of material on a 32GB card.
To help you spend more time shooting and less time messing around with settings it features an Intelligent Auto mode, as seen on Panasonic's cameras, to automatically choose which functions to use - from optical image stabilisation and face detection to intelligent contrast control and scene selection - to get the best results.
The HDC-SD100 will be available in August, pricing has yet to be decided. For further details see Panasonic.
