Seagate's FreeAgent Theater offers an easy way to show off your media files on your TV. Instead of messing around with networking, just copy them onto an external hard drive and plug it in.
There's a slot for Seagate's FreeAgent Go drive, but there's also a USB port for plugging in other drives. It supports high definition, but as it uses component rather than HDMI the maximum resolution is 1080i.
It can playback MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and DivX video files and MP3, WMA, WAV and OGG audio tracks.
The FreeAgent Theater will be available soon, see Seagate for further details.
