Benq has clearly being paying attention to the advances in touchscreen interfaces if its new T850 camera is anything to go by. In addition to identifying simple taps, it can also recognise circles and swipes, which makes for a much more intuitive experience.
For example, if you draw a circle around someone on the display it will zoom in on them using the 12x optical lens. You can also thumb through photos you've taking just by swiping from right to left on the display.
The rest of the specification is pretty impressive, with face detection to ensure that people's ugly mugs are in focus and a burst mode that can take twelve shots in a second. It's also the world's slimmest 8 megapixel snapper, according to Benq, measuring 14.9mm at its thinnest point.
The T850 will be available soon, pricing has yet to be decided. For further details, see Benq.
