Nikon's latest digital SLR builds on its predecessor, the D300, and adds the ability to capture high definition movies as well as 12.3-megapixel photos.
The D300S also has an external microphone to record sound and a dedicated button to quickly switch between video and still modes. It's pretty quick at snapping photos too, capable of capturing images at 7fps.
It's flexible when it comes to memory formats, as it supports both SD and Compact Flash and you can even use one for video and the other for stills.
The D300S will be available soon, see Nikon for more information.
