Firefox 2.0 is the most well-rounded web browser currently available. Now faster, more secure, and more customisable than everything else, Firefox has so many powerful features that it really will improve your online experience. And as a bonus it's a cinch to use! You'll quickly come to appreciate the session restore – when you restart the browser after a computer crash, it asks if you want the pages you had running to re-open automatically. Other cutting-edge features include search engine suggestions, live feeds within bookmarks and spell-checking. The built-in anti-phishing filter, which is on by default (unlike the one in IE7), warns you when you encounter a website that is a suspected forgery and offers to take you to a search page so you can find the real site you were looking for.

Firefox 2.0 provides streamlined RSS and Atom feed-handling, although they look better in IE7. In fact, the interfaces of IE7 and Opera 9 are more aesthetically pleasing and elegant than those of Firefox, but for expandability and general suitability, Firefox continues to edge out all other browsers. It is also among the easiest to use, so all the family can get on with enjoying the internet instead of worrying about settings.
