Apart from the cases and the prices, there's nothing to distinguish between these eConnect HomePlugs and those from Solwise and Dynamode. We found negligible performance differences across all the 85Mbps HomePlug devices we tested and, in the case of these three suppliers, they all use the same software to configure and run the network.

eConnect's colouring is white, which might appeal to the iPod generation and will probably match your sockets better if you're worried about such things, but it's the price that makes the biggest impact here, and it hardly seems worth paying £14 more for something just because it'll blend in better with your walls.
