RealPlayer has really become something of a niche software title, and despite support for a variety of media formats, it is generally only used to play native Real format streaming media – a format that itself has been surpassed by other streaming formats. While there is support for a wide variety of audio and video formats, the program itself is slow to load, media management is poor and the interface unnecessarily confusing. This program should only be installed to play content from sites that insist on using the Real format.
