Google's foray into image software is as much about image organisation as it is editing. The first time you run the program you are prompted to scan your hard disk for images, which are then added to the Library. From here you can browse through them based on the folder they are stored in or the date they were created, as well as organising pictures into albums for easy retrieval. Images can be viewed on an individual basis or included in a slideshow.

The list of tools and filters may seem a little limited, but there are more than enough for most purposes. Simple fixes such as colour and contrast adjustment as well as red-eye removal and cropping, are never more than a couple of clicks away, and the Tuning and Effects tabs allow more experimentation. Options such as web-page creation and CD burning make this a handy tool for organising your digital snaps.
