If the prospect of adding yet another phone to your household is deterring you from VoIP, the Olympia Cordless DUALphone is the handset for you. It connects to both a standard landline socket and the USB port on your PC, so you can make and receive calls from fellow Skype users, landlines and mobiles without switching devices. As it's cordless, you can also use it up to 50 metres away from the signal source. The phone's display shows whether your friends who use Skype are online, and if they are you simply press a button to talk to them free of charge, no matter where they are in the world.
