Looking little like other digital camcorders, the MobiDV H10 has several advantages over its rivals. Its ultra-slim, streamlined build means it slips comfortably into the tightest of pockets, while a lens that rotates 180º lets you appear in your own movies. Via the simple menu system, you can capture sharp video and still images of excellent colour, and quickly access the extra features such as the voice recorder and MP3 player.

Unusually for a budget video camera, there are also flexible settings for exposure, white balance and lighting, as well as effects and filters for different types of shot. Our only real gripe concerns memory.

Although the H10 accepts SD and MMC media, even offering space for an additional card, you'll need to purchase this storage separately before you can use it. Sadly, this increases the overall cost significantly.
