With a 2GB mailbox, ICQmail has plenty of space to play with. It shares most of the functions of the other email programs, including a calendar for appointments, auto-responders for when you go on holiday and mobile options (including Wap access) for when you're out and about.

ICQmail is one of the most customisable of the services, with the option of adding a broad choice of pre-selected images and colour schemes. It has a bit of an old-fashioned look compared to some of its more dynamic rivals though, and this makes it harder to use in places. You can collect your ICQ email with tools like Outlook Express or Thunderbird, or you can use ICQ's interface to gather any other POP3 email addresses you may have hanging about. And if you regularly get emails in different languages, ICQ offers an instant translation service.
