At first look you'll notice little difference between this and a free Hotmail account, except that your storage space has been boosted to 2GB, leaving enough empty space for the most prolific email enthusiast to rattle around in. As well as the basic email function, there is a sophisticated calendar for keeping your appointments to hand and a place to keep all your contacts. Both of these work with MSN Messenger, so you can send appointment reminders to yourself and instant messages to your friends straight from Hotmail.
