Eyespot is a sophisticated online video-editing suite that will leave you slack-jawed at what you can do and, more importantly, how easily you can do it.

You can upload your own videos (100MB file size limit) for editing or just mess about with other people's, and you can choose either to keep your videos private or make them public for other users to incorporate in their own work. Uploading is quick and simple, and you can also upload photos for slide shows, as well as accompanying music.

Once your video is online, it's a simple drag-and-drop process to take clips and order them into a longer film. You can trim unwanted sections by positioning a slider to where you want it to start and finish, and a live preview means you have frame-by-frame control. Then you can add transition effects – fade in, fade out and dissolve – to make your cuts more interesting. There's also a series of effects you can apply, such as rotation, colour washes and speed effects. Oh, and let's not forget the ability to add titles.

This website has practically everything you need to create neater and more effective videos for publishing on blogs and websites, and it's an absolute pleasure to use.
