Having won our last USB memory Group Test with its 1GB Flash Voyager, we were keen to put the 2GB model through its paces. The design hasn't changed at all: it features the same sturdy rubberised shell in Corsair's black and blue colouring; and still comes with its own lanyard and short extension cable so you can access harder-to-reach USB ports. It also has a CD with drivers for Windows 98 and open-source TrueCrypt encryption software (www.truecrypt.org) so you can, if you wish, keep the information on your drive thoroughly private.

More significantly, however, the performance of the device hasn't changed either. The stick copied our 300MB wedge of test files in 22.15 seconds – only Buffalo's drive came close to matching it. Most importantly of all though, all this performance comes at a mind-boggling price of £19. For the perfect balance of performance and reliability at a stunning price, you really can't go wrong with Corsair, and it justifiably wins our Gold Award for the second year on the trot.
