There's a lot to be said for learning a bit of HTML (hypertext markup language – the code that's used to create web pages) if you're thinking of designing your own website. But despite its title, you don't have to know any to start using HTML Editor, as it comes with a Visual Editor so you can create basic sites by simply typing text and adding images as you would in a word processor.

This Visual Editor is surprisingly powerful but keeps the HTML code that lies underneath gloriously streamlined. It isn't as intuitive as a true drag and drop interface but if you can accept that the nature of the web is going to have some restrictions on your design dreams, then this is more than capable.

Verdict
It may not have some of the high-end features of some of its vastly more expensive rivals, but this is functional and has all the basics well covered. But it's the price that's the real star of the show, coming well under budget for what you get. We wouldn't recommend it to complete beginners but if you like the concept of an HTML editor with the ability to work in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) mode, this is a wonderful tool for the money.
