It's the cheapest scanner here, but the CanoScan LiDE 35's low price comes at the expense of features. It lacks a transparency adapter for scanning slides and negatives, and the supplied software isn't as flexible or extensive as rival packages. Performance-wise, it's average, producing decent if not particularly sharp scans at a slow speed. On the plus side, its slender build makes it easy to carry, with the ability to save desk space by storing it upright. The scanner is powered via USB, so no need for a mains cable.
