Right up there with the fastest of memory drives, the Firestix Type S was only a nose behind the Corsair Flash Voyager in our test. However, the price tag can't claim the same distinction, which takes some of that super-fast shine off the device. Our review unit didn't come with any software included, but you can download Buffalo's Secure Lock Ware free of charge from its website. This is encryption software that lets you secure your data on the device should it fall into the wrong hands.
