An all-in-one anti-spam and anti-virus tool, BitDefender SpamDeny starts working from the off, even scouring your system for threats during installation. Compatible with any email program, it automatically filters messages containing certain types of image, illegitimate web addresses and strange characters, as well as using heuristics to detect words, phrases and links common to spam. The main problem with the program is that it's too automated and inflexible, moving mail it considers junk to a mysterious and apparently inaccessible folder. This means that unless you've added specific senders to your friends list beforehand you may miss their messages altogether.
