Its medium-sized case has some space for upgrading and offers a fair balance between size and upgradeability. The PC has all the interfaces you might need – the memory card reader handles CompactFlash, SmartMedia, Memory Stick and Secure Digital; it comes with DVD-ROM and DVD+RW drives; has ports on the front for connecting a FireWire and two USB devices; and it even comes with a floppy disk for old-schoolers. It's equally well endowed round the back end, with ports for everything from a dial-up internet connection to a network.

Special features include the largest hard disk on our test at 250GB, which is good news for fans of gaming, video editing or anything else that takes up a lot of disk space. It also has an impressive 17in Philips monitor included in the price. |
