Facebook appeal to find cat bin woman
Over 4,500 people have joined the Help Find The Woman Who Put My Cat In The Bin Facebook group after the video of the offence appeared on YouTube.
In the video below the unknown woman in Coventry is seen stroking a cat called Lola before dumping it inside a nearby wheelie bin. It happened on 21 August.
Lola was left in the bin for 15 hours until its owners heard it crying the next day when they left the house for lunch.
The whole incident was recorded on CCTV that had been put up on the street because of alleged car vandalism and parking problems.
Lola's owners have posted the video and the Facebook group (warning: contains strong language) has been created in the hope that someone will be able to identify the woman.
The page description read: "It is uncertain at the moment if this was a planned attack - perhaps by a neighbour - or a random spur of the moment act."
"Thankfully, Lola is now fine and has recovered from 15 hours of imprisonment in the bin, but the woman's identity is still a mystery."
"Do you know this woman? Share any information you have on the Wall or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
