Kinect coming to UK earlier than expected
Microsoft's Kinect for Xbox 360 will be in the UK earlier than expected and in plenty of time for Christmas, the company has said.
Kinect, which was previously known as Project Natal, will now be available in the UK on Wednesday 10 November. Previously Microsoft had said that it wouldn't launch in the UK until 19 November.
Kinect is a motion-sensing system that lets you control games by using natural body movements rather than a handheld controller. Kinect pricing for the UK was revealed in July.
You will be able to pick up the motion-sensing device for £129.99, though if you don't already own an Xbox 360 you can buy the Kinect bundled with a stripped down version of the Xbox 360 with a 4GB solid-state hard drive for £249.99.
Microsoft made the announcement at the Gamescom conference, currently taking place in Cologne in Germany, where it also revealed the first games for the Windows Phone 7 platform.
