MoD UFO files on the National Archives site
You can now read previously classified government files about UFO sightings in the UK thanks to a collaboration between the Ministry of Defence and the National Archives.
Files that detail mysterious sightings close to the home of former Home Secretary Michael Howard in Folkestone are among the files, though no UFO reports were actually filed by the politician himself.
You can also read the report of a Birmingham man who arrived home in the early hours to find a large, illuminated blue triangle hovering over his garden.
The UFO left behind a 'silky-white' substance on tree tops in his garden, which he saved in a jam-jar, though it is not revealed what happened to the substance.
All the newly released files come from between 1994 and 2000 and will be free to download for one month. There are around 6,000 pages of material in the archive.
The files are just the latest round of information about UFO sightings released by the MoD.
