Microsoft is to allow advertisers to push their products to users of Windows 7.
A pilot scheme will run until 2010 and advertisers such as 20th Century Fox, Porsche and Pepsi have been lined up.

Advertising will appear in the Windows 7 interface itself as well as add-ons to the Internet Explorer browser, according to Microsoft.
There will also be themes relating to the advertisers, so you can download wallpapers designed by your favourite brands.
"The new Windows Theme Experience and Windows Personalisation Gallery in Windows 7 allow consumers to customise their technology to reflect the things in life they are most passionate about," a Microsoft spokesman said.
You can download the 'personalised' wallpapers from the Microsoft website.

What a load of crap! If I pay for a product I expect it to be advert free. I will be putting of Windows 7 for as long as I can and hopefully this will meet with such a negative response, Microsoft will be forced to drop it.

I fully agree with BOJO's comments..There was a time when I would rush to get the latest Microsoft advance sic I've just finished uninstall Microsoft Office Trial off my laptop which I never asked for or wanted.. when I un-installed the Access Database there was over 20,000 registry entries! Most of the stuff Microsoft imposes on the unwary PC user is neither useful or wanted and just bloats the system with junk.. I shall be glad when Google brings out it's Chrome Operating System..
As for Windows 7 do people realise what they're buying into??
