Vodafone customers were unable to use their phones on Thursday morning after the company's network crashed.

Vodafone's network suffered a two-hour outage on the morning of Thursday 12 November meaning that some customers were unable to make calls or send texts.

From between around 0700GMT and 0900GMT an "intermittent technical issue" affected a small number of users from making or receiving calls, sending emails or texts, and using the internet.

The company didn't provide an exact reason for the fault but said engineers were working on its systems at the time of the glitch.

This fault is the latest mobile network to suffer an outage. In July, O2's data network crashed meaning iPhone users couldn't make calls or send emails.

Last month, O2 customers were again unable to make calls for about an hour following technical problems with the 3G voice network.
