Spotify members can hear Robbie Williams' new album, Reality Killed The Video Star, three days before its official release.

The album won't be available in shops or to download until Monday 9 November, but Spotify members can hear it from Friday 6 November.

Williams has also created a personalised playlist for Spotify members to listen to.

Meanwhile, a report has claimed that the popular streaming service has reduced levels of illegal downloading.

Sixty-two per cent of people questioned in a survey who admitted to downloading music illegally said using Spotify has encouraged them to reduce the amount they download or kick the habit altogether.

According to the research from Moneysupermarket.com, streaming sites and mobile music services seem to be the key to beating piracy.

"With Spotify joining the ranks of legal music sites, illegal downloading seems set to become much less popular," said Moneysupermarket.com's James Parker.

"Streaming music for free or for a reasonable fee whilst on the move could spell the end for illegal downloading and could even send the CD the way of the mini-disc and cassette tape," he continued.
