The Beatles' music on sale in digital formats

Fans of The Beatles will soon have the chance to get their hands on digital copies of the band's music - but not through iTunes.

Beatles music for sale in digital format

You will soon be able to buy The Beatles' music in digital format - but on a USB drive rather than through the iTunes store or its competitors.

What's more, the apple-shaped USB drives are limited to 30,000 units, with as few as 100 available to UK surfers.

The 16GB drive contains all 14 of the bands' studio albums in high-quality 320Kbps MP3 format as well as 24-bit, 44.1KHz FLAC format.

There is also video footage and artwork to be found on the drive, which costs £200.

You'll need to create an account on the official Beatles' store website to be in with a chance of getting your hands on one, but given the limited numbers available, we don't recommend holding your breath.

The drive goes on sale on 7 December.
