Vodafone's Touch the Phone competition offers £5,000 prize

Vodafone is offering £5,000 to the person who wins its Touch the Phone competition, which challenges players to keep their mouse on a spinning 3D mobile phone for as long as possible.

The online game has two modes - Skill and Endurance. Only the Endurance mode offers the £5,000 prize.

Vodafone warns players that the Endurance mode "could take hours or maybe even days to win and requires maximum concentration".

Currently, the best Endurance time is 4 hours, 20 minutes and 32 seconds.

The Skill mode, so named because you need quick reactions to keep up with the fast-moving phone, has a different winner every two days.

The player with the longest time during each two-day period wins a choice of eight SIM-free phones.

The competition ends a minute before midnight on 4 December, 2009.
