Ask Nobel Physics Prize winner questions on YouTube

Dr John Mather of Nasa is inviting people to submit questions to him via YouTube.

Ask a Nobel Laureate

The Nobel Laureate for physics, Dr John Mather, is inviting YouTube users to post videos asking him space-related questions.

The Nasa astrophysicist has teamed up with the video-hosting site in the first of the 'Ask Nobel Laureates' series, in which Nobel Prize winners from various fields will answer a selection of questions posted by users over the coming months.

Dr Mather won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006 for his work into the Big Bang theory.

In his introduction video, Mather says: "This is a great opportunity for you to ask about the mysteries of space, how the universe was created and how it's growing."

To ask Dr Mather a question, post a video of yourself on the official Nobel Prize YouTube channel by Friday 30 October.

You can watch the Ares I-X rocket launch at Nasa TV live online.
