Carla Bruni sketch leaves PM's wife 'bemused'

A sketch of Prime Minister Gordon Brown's wife Sarah on Carla Bruni's new website has ruffled some feathers, it seems.

Carla Bruni draws Sarah Brown

Sarah Brown, wife of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, has been left "bemused" by a sketch of her on Carla Bruni's new website.

The site, which crashed on its launch day as Web User reported, contains a sketch of the British first lady penned by the French first lady.

However, Brown's comments on micro-blogging site Twitter suggests that she is less than impressed by the picture, painted by French artist Alice Dechelette.

"Love Carla Bruni-Sarkozy's new website though bit bemused by illustration of me," she wrote.

Brown has a following of over 836,000 on Twitter, outstripping even Stephen Fry.

Art lovers would be well advised to pay a visit to the newly-launched Van Gogh Letters website for an insight into the life of one of the truly great artists of all time.
