Internet love cheats 'don't get found out'

The internet offers love cheats the chance to carry on their affairs with very little risk of being found out, a report claims.

Internet love cheats 'don't get found out'

Infidelity is on the increase and is becoming harder to detect, according to a report.

Illicitencounters.co.uk has revealed that only 8 per cent of its members have been caught, leaving 92 per cent continuing their affair.

According to the website, the average member is aged between 36-40 years, and a professional worker with a family.

Before the internet, affairs were difficult to conduct and much easier to find out about.

But with the internet providing instant-messaging services, social-networking sites and chatrooms, more are straying away from their marriages to have an online affair, the report found.

Not only is an affair easier to pursue online, but the evidence is also easier to hide.

Dating sites enable members to hide their identities and can be accessed from anywhere with a web connection, without leaving a trace on a household computer, according to the report.
