Google issues Chrome security updates

Google has issued an updated version of its Chrome browser which fixes three flaws.

Two of the three flaws were given a 'High' severity rating. One of the flaws was spotted by Mozilla, creator of the rival Firefox browser.

"A flaw in the V8 Javascript engine might allow specially-crafted Javascript on a web page to read unauthorised memory, bypassing security checks. It is possible that this could lead to disclosing unauthorised data to an attacker or allow an attacker to run arbitrary code," Google said in a statement.

Another flaw, concerning the way Chrome handles XML, was discovered by renowned security researcher Dan Kaminsky.

Your system should automatically update to Google Chrome 2.0.172.43 when you restart the browser.
