Tottenham investigate 'Bent Twitter rant'

Tottenham striker Darren Bent has reportedly vented his frustrations at the club's chairman for holding up his transfer to Sunderland by attacking him on Twitter. A message from the Twitter account db10thetruth appeared on the micro-blogging network asking Levy to "stop f****** around". Subsequent tweets from the account spelled out the writer's frustrations: "Seriously getting p***** off now," was the message posted at lunchtime, followed by "Why can't anything be simple. It's so frustrating hanging round doing jack s***." Top Twitter tools and applications The account was taken offline on Friday morning. Spurs are investigating the authenticity of the account. Tottenham signed the striker from Chartlon for 16.5m two years ago. The London side are keen to recoup that figure but Sunderland are thought to only willing to go up to 15m. Earlier this week Conservative party leader David Cameron had a pop at Twitter when he explained why he didn't use the service. "The trouble with Twitter, the instantness of it, too many twits might make a twat," Cameron said.
