Bundle savings being passed up

Many people still aren't aware of the savings they could make by bundling their broadband, TV and telephone services.

A third of UK broadband customers are not taking their broadband, digital TV and home phone from the same company, despite the significant savings they could be making.

Many of us are, according to research from BroadbandChoices.co.uk, unaware that we could potentially be saving over £230 per year by buying a bundled package.

Michael Phillips, product director at BroadbandChoices.co.uk, said: "It is surprising to see so many consumers continuing to pay separate suppliers for their broadband, home phone and digital TV.

"We would encourage these consumers to get online and compare providers to see what bundled packages are available to them – they will almost certainly find they can enjoy superior services for much less than they are currently paying," he continued.

The survey, which had more than 10,000 respondents, found that 29 per cent were uncertain if bundles were a more cost-effective option than subscribing to separate suppliers for each service.

An additional 12 per cent said they did not believe bundles offered better savings at all.
