Next to Harry Potter the Lord of the Rings is this year's most hotly awaited movie and goes on general release today. The film, based on the first of JRR Tolkien's trilogy of novels, features Elijah Wood as the Hobbit, named Frodo Baggins who inherits the ring in the ultimate battle of good against evil. The film also features Cate Blanchett star of The Talented Mr Ripley and The Gift, as Galadriel.
